G’day and welcome to the AntiSF Radio Show Enif. As if enif is not enough. That, my friends, is my tip of the hat to a speculative fiction writer who featured on our pages in the early days of AntiSF, and has appeared on the radio show with some of those previous stories, Jason Fischer, pun overlord of our close community, and arch causer of groans. Perhaps I’m in good company.
And perhaps you are too. Enif is another pesky star, also known as Epsilon Pegasi, right on the nose of the winged horse, an orange supergiant that is actually the brightest star in that asterism, despite its nomenclature. Which just goes to show that you can’t trust a name. Not even in speculative fiction.
All you can trust is destabilisation and questions, and perhaps a little fun laced with horror.
Stick with me now for two stories from the pages of a recent issue of AntipodeanSF online, one of them about a lost alien Aussie hero in the terror war, by an Aussie, and the other, simply about a lost alien, similarly embroiled in the terror war, by a podean resident. No, no terriers involved in this terror.
