In dog we trust, at least when it comes to being friendly. And in AntipodeanSF we trust to deliver the best in flash speculative fiction from the Antipodes, and occasionally from the other side of the world too. Welcome folks to the Radio Show Spica, a double star, rather closer than some, a mere 250 years away as light travels from it to us at 300,000 kilometres per second. Astronomically and historically, Spica is thought to be the very star that allowed Hipparchus to discover the precession of the Equinoxes. And if you want to know more about that, I can recommend the excellent "Astronomy Cast" Podcast. You'll learn a lot. In the now, however, it's time for story. In this episode three pieces of flash speculation, highlighting the dangers of re-animation, the best uses for waste, and the demise of a type 2 civilisation.
