G'day flash speculative fiction lovers cosmos-wide, I'm Nuke your host and editor for this show. You happen to have tuned in to the AntipodeanSF radio show 185, featuring all of the fiction in audio taken from the now hacked and since disabled online version of AntipodeanSF with that same number.
Hacked? Once was not a dirty word, but now seems it is, especially when it takes down the AntiSF website. As a matter of fact, it was past time for an upgrade to the latest version Joomla, the content management system that has driven the site since the mid naughties. The new site will run on the latest version, and will be upgraded along the way, and will now responsively adapt the screen layout and sizing according to the device that is accessing.
In the meantime, the AntiSF Radio show is late in the wake of the upgrade, and the sheer weight of the season. Fair warning, then, that the next issue of AntiSF may well be delayed for a month or so while the site is rebuilt.
Nevertheless, it's Summer solstice here in the Antipodes, Winter Solstice in the podes, and doesn't this bode well for stories?
It does.
So stay tune to this show for seven speculative tales in the flash department, one fifty wordier, and a special extra from mystery writer, Zeb Carter -- which is now to be a feature of every issue for which I can get them -- a longer story of more than a thousand words.
Black hat hacking be damned, it's on with the show, folks.
