I, for one, did not know that there was a star called Peacock. And now you're listening to the AntipodeanSF Radio Show Peacock. Hi, I'm Nuke, your host and editor, and they tell me that by using reasonably reliable parallax measurement techniques, that Alpha Pavonis is about 180 light years distant. And, yes, you guessed it, it's the brightest of the stars in the constellation of Pavo, another Southern group that's only visible in the Antipodes, relatively close to the constellation of Telescopium.

But don't quote me on that. I think Peacock is one of those stars that leads a close in double life.

In this show, however, you get not two, but three times the fun. Go to another world and experience hunger, perhaps eat a severed finger, but all of it with good intentions.
