G'day illustrious lovers of speculative fiction, be that science fiction, fantasy, horror, or anything else really — any story that asks "what if?", does its best to be subversive, overturning or just plain sideways and upside-down at the same time. This is, after all, Antipodean Speculative Fiction, and this is the radio show, episode Pollux, the first of four to feature all of the fiction from Issue 192 of AntipodeanSF online.
Beta Geminorum aka Pollux is an orange giant, one of the twin stars of about the same brightness that feature in the constellation of Gemini. Thirty three years in the past as we see it. As we see it, however, isn't necessarily how you see it. Stories have meanings that you and I must individually decide are there, so lets see how we fare with this lot. In this episode you'll learn something about GIGO, get your gender set bent, hanker to be involved in the start of a new religious cult, and be coy on a strange and wonderful nowhere island.
