G’day fellow speculative fictioneers, this is the AntipodeanSF Radio Show Sadr, name of a star in what is sometimes referred to as the Northern Cross, as opposed to our southern version. Sadr is a supergiant somewhat variable star that emits around 33,000 times Sol’s radiation, and it’s still one of the brightest lights in the night sky at a distance of almost 2,000 light years. But that’s not the story we’re telling here, although I’m sure it’s possible to speculate about Sadr. Speculative stories are what we’re at, and in this show we ask the golden question, share some dubious prey, discover the depth of beauty born in 2040, and follow a kookaburra’s laugh into alien territory.
