AntipodeanSF
AntipodeanSF podcast/radio show is devoted to the presentation of flash speculative fiction stories (science fiction, fantasy, and horror). AntiSF is where speculative fiction belongs -- downside-up!
The AntiSF Radio Show 162 Beta

Hi all, this show is the second and final installment of the silly season speculative fiction from Issue 162 of AntipodeanSF, and the whole deal is about to go on a short hiatus holiday for a couple of weeks so that I can spend time with friends, family, and lover. And while you're all thinking that my only love is with speculative fiction, and that is as it should be, the world is just a little more solid than that. Remember that while you take in five fine flash stories, a fifty worder, and three book reviews.

The AntiSF Radio Show 161 Delta

Hello fellow star travellers. Welcome to the AntisF Radio Show 161 Delta. In this week's episode, the last from the now not so current issue of AntipodeanSF, you'll hear the remaining two stories from that issue, being "Carrion" by Holly Day, and "Worst Ending Ever", by regular contributor and arch weatherman Kevin J. Phyland. Later in the show you'll also hear an offering from Librivox of a Golden Age SF story called "An Incident on Route 12", by James H. Schmitz.

It's all wrapped in fine electronic music from "The Kyoto Connection", thanks to the Free Music Archive.

The AntiSF Radio Show 161 Gamma

Speculate more. That's the spirit. Here's the AntiSF Radio Show issue 161 Gamma, with me, Nuke, your host and editor. Welcome. Settle back and make yourself comfortable for the latest installment of this very show, which features two stories from the latest incarnation of AntipodeanSF online, where you can of course read the stories you hear. This time around I serve up for you, "A Taste of Real Earth" by David Brookes, and, "The Strike Team" by Rachael Ryan.

We'll add to that with two reviews from our long time regular reviewer, supposedly retired but filling in for Jan Napier while she recovers, Sue Clennell, who takes a look at two unsual books, "I Killed Adolf Hitler" and, "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies". Mix it all up with music from "The Kyoto Connection" from an album entitled "The First Voyage", and there you have this show.

The AntiSF Radio Show 161 Beta

Welcome, fellow improbables to the AntiSF radio Show, 161 Beta, a sweet and crispy cone that's choc full of content that's guaranteed not to melt on your lap.

G'day from down under, if you're up top there, that is. I'm your host and editor, Nuke. Welcome to another episode of the show that delivers the best in flash speculative fiction to your ears from around the cosmos.

In this edition, you're going to hear about some a nasty things, firstly in a story called "Blackflower" by Damien Conn, and then in "Brother" by Jason Butterfield. I also have a fifty worder for you by Steve Duffy, called "Make Yourself a Fresh One Instead". Take heed. You gotta watch that coffee, folks.

Finally, the show is neatly trimmed with a rather horrible dystopian vision from Shaun Saunders in something called "The Patriot", and a lovely Flashback to Issue 143 of AntipodeanSF with "Last Chance" by Des McNicholas -- not to forget a review of "The Sookie Stackhouse Companion" by the inimitable Elizabeth Newman.

So settle back onto that beach towel, drink in the view, and keep listening because it's time for some stories. Short shorts, of course.

The AntiSF Radio Show 161 Alpha

Hi SF fans. Here be show 161 Alpha, the first of our weekly shows from Issue 161 of AntipodeanSF, online at antisf.com.au.
Don't go there now. Save that for later. Keep yourself gluoned to the radio, and keep the electrical circuits between your synapses to your ears open, because it's time for a story or three, all of them short, all of them speculative, indeed, each of them in this radio show falls firmly into the science fiction category. We're going time travelling, hole travelling, and radio wave travelling through the galaxy. Also in this show is the fabulous Bullsheet, aussie Science fiction news from Wendy Palmer. Stick around for that, and stuck in the gaps you'll hear me talk with the sultry Blues rocker Anni Piper, while we sail on the breeze with music from Yacht.

The AntiSF Radio Show 160 Delta

Welcome fellow alien earth residents to the AntiSF radio show 160 Delta, the last of the shows for this month of October in 2011.
In this show are the two remaining stories from the pages of this month's online edition of AntipodeanSF that you have not yet heard on this month's other shows. Apart from the two aforementioned fine pieces of somewhat comedic flash, "The Curse of The Were Bat", and "A Public Touch Up", I have a rather longer classic SF Martian short story by Alfred Coppel, courtesy of Librivox, called "The Hills of Home".
I'm sure you'll like them all, and the electronic music to go with them.

The AntiSF Radio Show 160 Gamma

Hey fellow lovers of Speculative Flash Fiction. This is the AntiSF Radio Show 160 Gamma, featuring the best in short-short science fiction, fantasy, and horror -- all of it downside up. This week the show features two stories from the current issue of AntiSF, something you ought to check out at <www.antisf.com.au>, where you'll find all of the fiction in human and computer readable form. This show, however, does "Warnings" by Kevin J. Phyland, and Gaia's Virus by David Kernot, in pure audio.
Also lurking in the mix is a flashback all the way to 1998, with a piece of flash fiction from the pages of AntipodeanSF Issue 4 by Tony Plank, called "The Brukalin Bureau of Economic Development", and a reading of a classic longer speculative tale from Librivox, Advanced Chemistry, by Jack G Huekles, read for us by Great Plains.
I hope you enjoy them all along with the electronic music wrapper. Attributions below:

The AntiSF Radio Show 160 Beta

Welcome to the AntiSF Radio Show, the podcast and radio show that feeds your vampiric ears with the stories that appear each month in AntipodeanSF online. This is show 160 Beta, and I am still Nuke, somewhere on this earthbase, your host and editor, slaving away over clacking keyboard, and staying awake way too late for other people's comfort.
Did you know that this is the year we killed the people who pretend to be statues? Chris Large is all lined up to tell us about that. In the meantime, hopefully not so mean nor so average, we may make some ironic progress with Dr. Shaun Saunders, observe how the Croupier Retires with PS Cottier, and Harvest the strange fruit under the gentle ministrations of Carine Hiedmann.
Let there be music as well, including serenades from AudioK, Fanas and FLT RSK, not to forget -- ever -- Going Critical with Jan Napier, with an investigation into the novel"Blackveil" by Kirsten Britain.

The AntiSF Radio Show 160 Alpha

Welcome Speculative flash fiction lovers to the latest AntiSF Radio Show, painted and splashed as Issue 160 Alpha, which is nowhere near moonbase alpha, and way beyond the year of 1999. This week we present three stories from the pages of this month's online magazine, AntipodeanSF, which you can of course find on the world wide web at <www.antisf.com.au>

Here we are again at story time, so get comfortable and let your mind loose a little. Suspend that disbelief. Three stories this time around. Firstly, we're going a little animal with Jackson Creed, who reads his own iceberg of a tale "Best Friends". Why iceberg? -- well, icebergs are characterised by showing off only a little friendly white part of their awesome bulk, and this tale just happens to remind me of that. Secondly, we'll hear another story about friends, once again narrated by the author himself, Eugene Gramelis, called "Jacob's Ladder". I'll be wanting to borrow that later, folks. I have some heights to scale. Thirdly, and firstly appearing in this very show, is a little pure science fiction tale by a writer who has fond memories of Nambucca Heads. Oh come on, you know where that is by now. "Racing flame" is written and read by Tim White, who is 50 years of age and no-where near 'knowing better'.

The stories this week are wrapped in music by "The Carrier Wave" (attribution below), and you'll hear the October "Bullsheet" Science Fiction News -- thanks to Wendy Palmer -- as well as some noisy beach interviews with "Transvaal Diamond syndicate", and "Gay Paris".
